Published under the authority of the Academy of Sciences of National Security, the Journal contributes to the development of knowledge and the advancement of scientific research in fields essential to understanding and protecting national security.
Through the studies and analyses it publishes, the Journal seeks to bring current issues into academic debate, encourage dialogue between the academic and professional communities, and connect theoretical research with institutional and social realities. Both individual contributions and research conducted by interdisciplinary teams of authors from Romania and abroad are encouraged.

Main fields
Military sciences. Research on national defence, military strategy, changes in the security environment, management of military organisations, and technologies applied in the field of defence.
Public order. Studies on citizen safety, crime prevention and control, public administration, crisis management, civil protection, and institutional cooperation.
Intelligence and national security. Analyses of contemporary risks, threats and vulnerabilities, intelligence activity, cybersecurity, organised crime, terrorism, and the protection of critical infrastructure.
The Journal is also open to interdisciplinary approaches that bring together legal, military, political, economic, social, and technological perspectives.
A journal open to the scientific community
Academicians, researchers, faculty members, professionals, doctoral students, master's students, and other authors interested in national security issues are invited to submit papers. Manuscripts proposed for publication must be original and comply with the Journal's formatting requirements and standards of academic ethics and integrity.
The Journal is published twice a year and may publish thematic issues, as well as papers presented at conferences organised by the Academy of Sciences of National Security and its structures.
